Editorial standards

Useful first. Beautiful second. Honest always.

Our publishing standard is simple: each page should help a real person make a clear decision and successfully cook the recipe it presents.

How recipes are developed

Each concept begins with a defined use case: the desired feeling, available energy, total time, and kind of eating occasion. From there, the recipe is developed around recognizable ingredients, achievable techniques, and a short path from prep to plate.

The current collection uses digital tools, including AI assisted ideation, drafting, ranking, and illustrative food imagery. Those tools support the work; they do not change our obligation to publish clear, internally consistent, original material. Before publication, each record is checked for ingredient and instruction consistency, timing logic, image and recipe alignment, dietary language, duplicate content, and unsupported claims.

What our imagery means

Recipe photographs are original, digitally created editorial illustrations of the named dish. They are designed to represent the recipe’s key ingredients, shape, texture, and serving style. They are not documentary photographs of a specific test batch, and home results naturally vary with ingredients, equipment, and technique.

Nutrition and wellness language

Nutrition values are practical estimates based on common ingredient data and two servings unless a page says otherwise. Mood labels describe the intended eating experience, not a diagnosis, treatment, or guaranteed physical or psychological outcome. We avoid cure claims, fear based food language, and advice that should come from a clinician or registered dietitian.

Updates and corrections

We make substantive updates when instructions are unclear, ingredients are inconsistent, timing is unrealistic, accessibility can be improved, or a visual does not accurately represent the recipe. Updated pages carry a visible revision date. Cosmetic date changes are not used to imply freshness.

If you spot a problem, choose “Recipe correction” on the contact page. Please include the recipe name and enough detail for us to reproduce the issue.

Commercial independence

MoodRecipe currently does not publish paid rankings or place advertising inside editorial copy. If advertising, sponsorships, or affiliate links are introduced, they will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and disclosed where they appear.
